Description

Der schneckenförmig aufgerollte Turrilites costatus lebte nahe dem Meeresboden und ist einer der am stärksten heteromorphen Ammoniten im Mittel-Cenoman (Oberkreide). Er kommt in flaserigen oder gebankten Cenoman-Plänerkalken vor, die durch Mergellagen gegliedert werden.

Fundort: Stbr. Müller, Künsebeck, Halle (Westf.)
