Die „Brunsviga“-Rechenmaschinen der Firma Grimme, Natalis & Co. aus Braunschweig waren nicht die einzigen in Deutschland hergestellten Sprossenradmaschinen. Ihr ehemaliger Mitarbeiter Albert Schubode gründete 1922 die Rechenmaschinenfabrik „Hannovera“ in Peine. Sie war eine von mehr als einem Dutzend deutscher Firmen, die nach der Jahrhundertwende in Deutschland Sprossenradmaschinen produzierten.
