Herzklappenersatz aus Metall mit Kohlenstoff beschichteter, glatter schwarzer Oberfläche. Zwei frei bewegliche Klappen-Anteile in einem Ring gefasst. Die metallisch klingenden Öffnungs- und Schlussklicks der künstlichen Herzklappe können beim Abhorchen mit dem Stethoskop wahrge-nommen werden. Diese zweiflüglige künstliche Herzklappe (Aortenklappe) wurde nach Eröffnung der Brust mit Durchtrennung des Brustbeins unter Einsatz einer Herz-Lungen-Maschine implantiert. Während der gesamten Laufzeit der Klappe muss ein blutverdünnendes Mittel (Marcumar®) eingenommen werden.
