Description

Sorgfältig bearbeitet Blattspitze aus Kieselschiefer, gefunden bei Hörste-Stapelage. Blattspitzen treten in der mittleren Altsteinzeit (250.000 - 40.000 v.Chr.) auf, in der auch der Neandertaler lebte. Das Fundstück aus Hörste-Stapelage kann in die Zeit um 40.000 v.Chr. datiert werden. Diese Geräte wurden als multifunktionales Schneidwerkzeug und/oder Speerspitze verwendet. Sie stelle eines der ältesten Zeugnisse menschlicher Existenz in Ostwestfalen dar.
